Here’s a little bit about the teachers and educators at Wee Care Child Development Center.

Miss Mengel – Owner

Miss Maria – Director

Miss Maria has been with the Wee Care family since 1990. She was the toddler teacher for 10 years and is now director. Maria has an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery County Community College. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her daughters play sports. She is a proud member of the Relay for Life Team.

Miss Joyce

Miss Joyce has been a child care provider and part of the Wee Care Family since 1999. She enjoys reading, baking, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

Miss Dawn

Miss Dawn has been with the Wee Care family since 2006. She enjoys reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. Dawn is involved in several committees in her church and volunteers during the holidays to distribute food baskets to the needy.

Miss Jacy

Miss Jacy has been a teacher and a part of the Wee Care Family since 1990. She has an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery County Community College. Jacy enjoys spending time with her family, crafts, and sports. She is a member of the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta parish.

Miss Katelyn

Miss Katelyn received her CDA credentials in 2011 and has been a part of the Wee Care family since 2010. She teaches pre-toddlers (12-18 months). She enjoys playing volleyball, hanging out with friends and family, and taking her dog for walks in the park. She is involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Miss Savanna

Miss Savanna has been part of the Wee Care family since 2019 and has been a teacher for one year. She attended Berks Career & Technology Center and is currently attending Reading Area Community College. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Miss Ashley

Miss Ashley joined the Wee Care family in 2018.  She has been a teacher for 15 years.  She graduated from MCCC in Pottstown.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, dining out, beach trips, and watching her children play sports.  Miss Ashley also enjoys being a PAL cheerleading coach.

Miss Beckie

Miss Beckie has been a teacher and part of the Wee Care family since 2002. She attended Montgomery County Community College and Temple University. Beckie enjoys camping, Nascar, and her favorite teams are the Eagles and the Flyers.

Miss Jill

Miss Jill received her degree from Montgomery County Community College and started at Wee Care in July 2019.  She has been a teacher for over five years.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking and going to the beach.

Miss Crystal

Miss Crystal has been a teacher and a part of the Wee Care family since 2000. She attended Penn College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Crystal enjoys shopping, going to her children’s sports activities, going to the beach, reading, and working will all children.

Miss Jen

Miss Jen has been a teacher and part of the Wee Care family since 2003. She has a degree from Alvernia University in Social Work with a concentration in Education. Jen enjoys spending time with friends and family, running and camping. She also enjoys being a part of Pottsgrove Soccer.

Miss Sue

Miss Susan joined the Wee Care family in 2018 and has been a teacher for 25 years.  She graduated from MCCC Pottstown/Blue Bell.  In her free time, Miss Susan enjoys walking and hiking, working out, and volunteering.  She volunteers with Operation Backpack and her church.

Miss Jean

Miss Jean has been a teacher and part of the Wee Care family since 2007. She graduated from Chestnut Hill College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Jean enjoys camping and spending time with her family and friends. She belongs to the Crazy Horse Monument and the Cherokee Foundation.

Mr. Carpenter

Mr. Carpenter has been a teacher since 2013.  He started at Wee Care in 2017 and works with all ages. He has an associate’s degree in elementary education from Montgomery County Community College, a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Millersville University and his teaching certification from Saint Joseph’s University. Mr. Carpenter is currently pursuing a master’s degree in library science from Kutztown University. In his free time, Mr. Carpenter likes to read books, go to the movies, and spend time with his pets.

Rachel Slough

Miss Rachel started at Wee Care in August 2019.  She is currently attending Montgomery County Community College.  Miss  Rachel likes to read, knit and spend time with her family.  She also like to help teach 2nd grade in her church Sunday school and with the Bible kids club, AWANA.
